I had seen the treehouse in images before. I must first clarify that the word “treehouse” is a bit of an understatement. For all intents and purposes, this place is an architectural masterpiece. It manifests qualities of a treehouse such as being lifted off of the ground and having an all-natural wood interior. But the floor-to-ceiling glass windows, the geometric design, the modern aesthetic, the sheer quality of execution takes this abode to an entirely new level. I had seen the treehouse before and I dreamed of staying in it.
So when an opening became available on Airbnb, I took the opportunity and booked a night!
That’s probably my favorite thing about Airbnb and what brings me back to their service time and time again. Airbnb is able to bring me to places I have only ever dreamed of. Even if just for one night, I can escape to something different, something unique.
As a freelance photographer, I am constantly working on projects in different places. Airbnb offers a range of accommodations for me. From simply getting a roof over my head and a hot shower, to elaborate homes with all sorts of quirky amenities.
This past Autumn I was on a road-trip chasing the changing foliage throughout the Northeast with my boyfriend Brayden. I was able to incorporate this tree house stay into my itinerary and it was a much needed respite from roughing it. Located in the Catskill Mountains of New York State, this stay is secluded, tranquil and romantic.
I wanted to highlight this place because it is the perfect example of the uniqueness that can be found on Airbnb.
